Xuehui Cai，PhD，Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences
Xuehui Cai, a researcher, is a doctoral advisor and chief scientist at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He receives special government allowance from the State Council. Dr. Cai was awarded as the country’s outstanding middle-young scientist and the leading talent of Heilongjiang Province. His research focuses on the pathogenic epidemiology of important swine diseases, particularly the molecular epidemiology of PRRS, PRV, pathogen and host interaction mechanisms and molecular pathogenesis, and the development of related vaccines. As the first and second inventors, he obtained five national invention patents and two new veterinary drug certificates. He also won a national science and technology progress award as the first researcher, two first prizes of Heilongjiang provincial science and technology progress award, and a first and a second prize of Shennong Zhonghua Agricultural Science and Technology Award. He has published more than 40 SCI articles.
